Avobar cafe menu has just got even bigger, with a new range of food available this week. I can only imagine people heading down to try out lots of quirky food. This was not my first as I've been here before when they first opened a year ago. That was when they just had the delicious Avo Bun Burger, which went viral all around Instagram on various pages.

Check it out here on my Instagram page.

New Menu

A year later, the lovely people here at Avobar invited me to try out their new menu. Although I have a pretty hectic schedule over the next two months, I was more than happy to visit after work. Having looked at their menu giving some thought and glimpses of seeing the images online, I opted for the 'Crushed Avo Furikake Toast with Turmeric Poached Egg'.

Here are the food, drink and dessert menus, where you can check out and see what you like before you visit 🙂

However, as usual, when you come to a cafe or a restaurant the drink comes first. Therefore, from their menu, I went for a healthy option and opted for a colourful smoothie. Now it was the 'Avo Banaberries', a purple looking smoothie that turned out really nice.

Brunch Menu

As I thought, the Crushed Avo Furikake wouldn't be enough to fill me up, I opted for a second dish which was the Tuna Cerviche. Originally, I was supposed to go for the 'Cured Salmon Tiradito' one of the other new dishes on their menu. However, they misheard me and got me 'Tuna Cerviche' instead, but I didn't want to say anything as I was fine with it.

I felt that I made the right choice choosing the Avo Furikake as it was super yummy and different. The best part of this dish was cutting open the yolk of the egg. This dish felt similar, reminding me of the one I had in Dubai at Cocoa Room as it sourdough with poached egg, which made me check it out.

Tuna Cerviche

Filled with sashmi grade tuna with avo, cuzo corn, mooli ribbon & liche de tigre. To be honest, it wasn't too bad, but it's a dish I wouldn't order again. One for the fact it's pricey at £12.50 and probably because of the taste wasn't my cup of tea and due to the fact I don't like tuna much. However, I didn't want to waste food, so I ate as much as I could.

Finally, after a short break in between having those two dishes. It was time for a final dessert menu as I opted for the 'Avo Cheesecake'. This looked really beautiful and I thought I picked out the right one as it went down well. What I can say as myself and desserts always go well, as I could eat dessert anytime regardless if I'm full or not.

Overall, I gave this cafe a rating of 7.9 out of 10.

Conclusion

I was really pleased with the outcome of the new menu and I'm sure lots of people will be there too. Now that there is a lot more to choose from than just a few items before. The perfect place to brunch with a group of friends or as couples. The food seems great, especially the Avo Furikake and Avo Bun Burger. I highly recommend these two dishes if you ever visit. Pricing is slightly on a high, but is located in the hub of tourist spots is kind of understandable.

The atmosphere seemed to buzz as it was really busy when I visited even around 5:30 pm during the evening. I loved some of the presentations of the food here, so I was pretty pleased with the dishes outcome. The experience was lovely as a table was reserved for me by the window perfect spot to capture great shots.

Thanks for reading my blog post at Avobar London here in Covent Garden. I hope you liked this food review and let me know where you would like me to review it next.
