Cook for Syriadata-imagelightbox="g">

AS COLD WINTER APPROACHES HERE IN THE UK, THE ONLY WAY TO DO SOMETHING FOR NOTHING IS TO RAISE MONEY FOR POOR and what better way to raise awareness by raising a campaign donating for people in Syria.

The ongoing conflict in Syria has caused the largest humanitarian crisis, with the lives of more than 8 million children in danger. Many have lost family, friends, and schools this has led them to be forced to flee their homes. 50% of all Syrian refugees are children and boys as young as 7 who are being recruited to fight. The risk of losing a generation grows with every day that the current situation deteriorates.

Donations for Syria in need of urgent humanitarian aid can be made through their just giving website created by @suitcasemag & @clerkenwellboyec1. Information about this #CookforSyria campaign can be all found on ‘CookForSyria’ website www.cookforsyria.com and you can see how you can get involved and make a difference for people who are suffering in Syria.

Initially this #CookForSyria is a fundraising initiative organised by Clerkenwell Boy and Suitcase Magazine. A month-long campaign focusing around Syrian cuisine encouraging everyone from the UK’s top chefs to people at home to cook and raise money in aid of UNICEF’s Syria Relief fund via Next Generation London (UNICEF’s youth branch).

If you would like to campaign to go above and beyond the UK you could take part and give to this campaign, the charity responsible are ‘Unicef’ which this campaign will be running only this month, so feel free to give on the just giving link below.

Alternatively, you can take part yourself by doing many things such as attend events, organise a bake sale or going to the following places listed below or do what I did and visited Crosstown Doughnuts by taking part in this campaign and bought a doughnut from Crosstown, where all the dishes and items they sell £2 goes straight to donation for #Syria.
