Charity Dodgeball for Princes Trust

Charity Dodgeball for Princes Trust

AS HEATWAVE OF SUMMER ARRIVES IN UK, MY COMPANY I WORK FOR ‘PAM INSIGHT’ entered a yearly charity event on behalf of ‘Princes Trust‘ charity at The Armoury House on Thursday 5th May with 28 teams participating this year. Playing Dodgeball for the first time at this company, my cricketing skills came in handy as I managed to win 2 games out of 6 for our team, which was a big improvement apparently from last year since the company did not win a single game.

However I did pull a hamstring last 2 games, a bit unfortunate due to heat, so I missed out playing towards the end. Nevertheless, everyone that participated had fun and sure did enjoy themselves with fancy dressed as you can see our team was themed as ‘Mexicans’, but the most importantly the event was mainly due to raising money for charity. Winning and losing will always happen in sports, just have to reflect and move on. Here are some pictures I took from the day from my Samsung S6 Edge. Hope you’ll enjoy 🙂

The weekend came, meaning cricket season is here, on Saturday I played a T20 game which we managed to win convincingly. During that night everyone in UK & US knew what was going on during a night at Vegas and early mornings of Sunday, where Amir Khan took on Canelo in Vegas.

I stayed up watching a great contest between the two, Amir battling to prove everyone wrong and being the underdog he did start really well throughout the rounds he lasted, showing his speed skills giving him the upper hand, but one killer blow from Canelo 6th round ended a mammoth task for Amir Khan. In spite of that blow, huge respect is due to Amir for stepping up two weights divisions and taking on a massive challenge ahead. I’m sure he’ll bounce back much stronger because with his skills and speed he can beat anyone at 147-154.

Finally, on Sunday it ended with another Cricket League match at Millfield Park at Hackney. I really enjoyed playing that match, since I had a stand out performance from my team on the score sheet with my batting, but unfortunately, we lost the game due to a lot of drops catches and rest of our batting line up not scoring enough runs on the board.

That was pretty much my weekend wrapped up.
