VyTA Covent Garden | Italian Restaurant

VyTA Covent Garden

Last week I visited a new restaurant in Covent Garden called VyTA Covent Garden. This place is a traditional yet innovative Italian dining place with a beautifully designed space. The lounge area is a must-see, as the colours of orange/gold are a real eye catchy spot to dine.

On this day, it was freezing outside here in London. When I arrived, the receptionist upstairs guided me to the main dining table. This is where I entered a room full of luxurious furniture, coloured in orange and gold.

Dining Experience

As you walk up the stairs, they have two balcony tables on either side. You can dine outside with a view of Covent Garden's huge Christmas tree and live entertainment. For me, it was a no-brainer choice as the balcony view was one of the main reasons, which brought me here to review. Luckily enough they had heaters switched on outside to make it warm, which helped. Otherwise, I was preparing to go inside as it started to get freezing cold.

You can have a look at their website for the actual menu here if you are ever planning to bring along your kids to enjoy the views and meals from the balcony as they also cater to children with a kids menu or you can take peek at the menu above, but as I was provided with a set menu, I was told to choose one option from each course meal.

Flatlay of Lunch

You can see how nice and pretty it looked. As it was simply hard to resist not taking any photos or visiting. The dishes here were quite simple, yet so colourful and stunning. Plus the experience was fantastic from the balcony.

This restaurant is small but the furniture and experience are incredible. As you can see below how good it looks. I would say it's a perfect location for couples looking for a date night or to have a business meeting. They have a round table at the back where a group of friends or family can together dine as well. Overall I was very impressed with the location and the settings.

You can view the stunning Covent Garden Christmas tree from the balcony. As well as watch some entertaining street shows.

Meals

For starters, I had the refreshing looking orange and decided to go for 'Panzerotto'. This certainly was a good choice as it was just like a pizza dough wrapped up in small portions. This Panzerotto was filled with fresh tomato, mozzarella, and basil, it sounds so simple yet tasted so scrumptious.

The second-course meal I decided to opt for was the Risotto. This was rice with seasonal mixed mushrooms. I was not too keen on this as unfortunately not been a fan of risotto probably because my taste buds are not used to it. Although it did look the part when I photographed, so I thought I picked a good dish for the gram.

Ended the choice of meal with dessert, where I opted for 'Lussuria'. This dish looked and was pretty, it was Gianduja Chocolate, Vanilla Tartellete, Red Berries and Caramelised Hazelnut. I enjoyed snapping some great shots of the food before indulging in it.

Conclusion

Food: 6/10
Service: 8/10
Price: 5/10
Experience: 9/10
Presentation: 10/10

Overall: 7.6/10

Overall, coming to VyTA Covent Garden restaurant. I was impressed with the outcome of the food, especially with the interiors and presentation as these are the type of things, which attracted me to their restaurants. It just makes everything look indulgent and stunning when shooting food here, which attracts more people to visit the restaurant.

The food itself I thought was reasonable, as I enjoyed the starter and dessert more than the Risotto. However, I was limited to very few options, so was not sure what else I could have had, although I would come back just for the dessert as their main dessert menu had some mouth-watering dishes. However, the price is on the expensive side especially for the portion you pay for, which I guess you are paying for the interiors and views etc than the actual food.

I'd say it's worth the money and experience going with your loved ones as it will be one to remember. You can witness a Christmas light show or any other street show since you have one of the best seats in the house from the balcony.
