Why Visit KL Tower?

KL Tower is one of Southeast Asia's highest observation decks and is well known for its stunning views of Kuala Lumpur. The tower provides a 360-degree panoramic view of the city, which is stunning to witness when the city is illuminated at sunset or after midnight.

Inside the tower, except from the skyscraper views. It's a pleasant place for both locals and visitors because it has a lot of restaurants, attractions, and activities like the Tower walk.

1. Observation Deck & Sky Deck

One of the main attractions of the KL Tower is the observation deck, which offers unobstructed views of Kuala Lumpur's lively city. The highest point offers views of notable structures. Such as Bukit Bintang, Merdeka Square, and the Petronas Twin Towers. Because there is no glass between you and the views. The Sky Deck, which is outdoors, provides an even more exciting experience!

The Sky Box is a glass box that allows you to stand above the city with a clear view below. It is an extension of the Sky Deck designed for the courageous. Although it is not for the faint of heart. As it presents your social media followers with an excellent photo opportunity.

Bear in mind, at the Sky Box, you only get 30 seconds to take as many photos as you like. I had two opportunities to take photos at different Sky Box with different views.

This is to ensure the place does not get over-crowded. However, a quick tip is to ask the camera photographer to take your photos, as the timer does not start until the professional photographer has finished.

2. Adrenaline-Filled Adventures

Tower Walk 100, a walkway around the tower's top, is popular among thrill seekers. This exercise allows participants to go outside the tower, 100 meters above the city, while wearing safety belts. It's an adrenaline rush like no other! If you are brave enough to do it, you will be rewarded with some beautiful views.

3. A Fascinating Architectural Marvel

The KL Tower's architecture is a unique combination of modern and Islamic design elements that reflect Malaysia's cultural background. The tower symbolises the country's growth and innovation while maintaining long-standing traditions.

Useful Tips for Visiting KL Tower

  • Operating Hours: KL Tower is open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM, including on public holidays.

  • Ticket Prices: Prices vary depending on the attraction. The Observation Deck, Sky Deck, and Sky Box have separate tickets, and combo packages are available.

  • Best Time to Visit: Late afternoon or early evening is ideal to visit, as you can catch the sunset and see the city transition from day to night.

  • Headout App: Use online apps or online sites to purchase your tickets as it will be cheaper. I ordered mine through Head Out, and it cost around £14 each to view the sky observation and Sky Box twice.

  • Sky Box: Ask the photographer to take your photos with your mobile
