Zulekha Frozen Food
Zulekha is a newly formed brand that makes home-cooked meals for people to enjoy good food at home. The brand owner was kind enough to gift me various meals of my choice of mine from their site to have a taste of these delicious home-frozen meals.
You can purchase these online from their store or at your local Asian stores. They will be available in UK retail supermarkets soon. Also, if you're quick enough by using 'ADIL20' code online you can get 20% off all orders until February 21st if you buy through their website link.
All their products are Halal and suitable for Vegetarians with a range of meat and non-meat options. Also, with Ramadan coming up in the next month or so, these will be ideal snacks for those evening time cravings.
You can find a range of products to indulge in such as Punjabi Samosas, Batata Vada, Burgers, Kebabs, Pasta Bake and much more. The great thing about these meals is that they are easily cooked. Whether in an air fryer or microwave. If you're feeling peckish one day, you can easily just chuck these in an air fryer or a preheated oil and have a nice teatime afternoon snack.
What I managed to order:
- Chicken Pasta Bake
- Punjabi Aloo Samosa
- Punjabi Chicken Samosa
- Chicken Tikka Samosa
- Pide Chicken
- Batata Vada
I thought these samosas were delicious and I love how soft and crisp the paar of the samosa was. The smell was just amazing when fried in oil, after snapping some shots, I and Mrs indulge in each one to try which was better. I preferred the chicken whereas my Mrs enjoyed the Aloo.
Chicken Pasta Bake
I had this pasta bake for a Saturday night takeaway. Since I usually order from a restaurant every Saturday night. In this case one weekend I decided to try pasta and chicken pide out. I was impressed by how delicious it tasted, enough for one person the masala tasted great. Although for extra flavour you could add some sauce. It's a ready-cooked meal so all you have to do is heat it in a microwave.
Chicken Pide
When I had these in Turkey, I enjoyed them. Hence the choice of this order, but this Pide wasn't as good as I thought. I was quite disappointed with this, as it just tasted plain and like eating bread on its own. At the end of the day, it is food so we have to be grateful for it.
Conclusion
My thoughts are that these frozen meals are perfect for any kind, whether for Ramadan, family gatherings or visitors. You can easily fry these foods up and serve them. I enjoyed most of the products and so did the rest of my family. Everyone enjoyed the Punjabi samosas. Of all the choices, I liked the chicken pasta bake and the Punjabi chicken samosa. I would recommend either of those along with their other products available. There are plenty of ranges to pick from and preparing for Ramadan or Eid would be ideal. As I said above, you can grab 20% off until February 21st.
