Cost of Horse Riding

The cost of this was pricey for my liking. As it totaled up to £80 for two of us so £40 each. This included transport in a minibus from our hotel to the destination and ride back to the hotel after our activity. When we paid, we had them convert the total amount from pound to Turkish lira as I didn't have any euro's on me. This was taken when we arrived before setting off. However, as it was one off experience it was a worthwhile activity.

Getting Ready for Horse Riding

Following a twenty to thirty-minute trip from Old Town, we had a brief health and safety briefing along with a witness form for insurance to complete. After it was over, it was time to choose one of our two horses and put on our helmets. Since it was our first time, the horses we were given were much calmer than the others.

Route to Lara Beach and Pine Forest

We started our path with our guides and rode across a few roads before arriving at our first destination, a pine forest. Some expert riders carried sticks to help them move faster. We took a different route through the woodland than they did. We rode gently, our guides in front of us, one shooting pictures. Nonetheless, it was an unforgettable experience.

As we were riding to the beach, my wife's horse decided to take a short break and began rolling about in the woods. This made her jump off because it was unexpected. Then something similar occurred to me when we went to the beach. My horse started rolling and scratching its back on the sand. Therefore, I had to quickly jump off.

Lara Beach

When we arrived at the beach, we spent time snapping pictures by the sea and walking about. The sights were pleasing, as people rested and enjoyed the sea. Beach chairs and umbrellas were are all set up.

After we'd shot our photographs along the coast. It was time to return to their homes. We returned by the same route we came from.

I loved reflecting on my personal experience. Horse riding was a great experience for both of us. This was our first experience riding horses by ourselves. We did get to see locations we hadn't seen before. When we first began out, it was relatively easy and smooth to bike along. However, as it started following the horses ahead of us, it became difficult to control since it began to run.
