The Ultimate Changi Airport Singapore Guide

The Ultimate Changi Airport Singapore Guide

Welcome to the Award-Winning Changi Airport. You may think the airport is just a long layover where you can relax. However, Singapore Changi Airport is a destination within itself, which makes you want to rethink your stay even longer. Having arrived here for the first time at this airport. This place was magical with the rain vortex, immersive experiences and many other attractions. A couple of hours here is simply not enough, as you can spend an entire day here as this airport has so much to offer.

This has been widely circulated on social media. After nearly a year of wanting to go, an opportunity occurred at my company. The rain vortex I witnessed earlier this month was fantastic. We had some time before checking into our hotel. We spent the first morning exploring the airport because we arrived early.

A long stopover usually involves either leaving the city or simply resting around. Despite having spent a long layover in Mumbai and Bahrain. This airport is unlike any other. Singapore airport is worth staying at because there is so much to see that even a few hours is insufficient.

Starting the time you walk off the plane. Changi Airport is remarkably efficient. The immigration process is quick and easy. Thanks to automatic clearance processes. The luggage claim is also smooth. Ensure that you can begin your Singapore vacation or catch your next flight without any additional delays.

Here's a closer look at what makes Changi Airport a must-see location, whether you're coming, departing, or transiting. I guarantee that you will have more fun at the airport than in the country because it is an attraction in itself.

Singapore Changi Airport Terminals

The airport itself is a maze in and of itself; with four terminals, you must take the Skytrain, which is free to use, to get from one to the other. If you're hungry, there are plenty of eateries to choose from, including McDonald's, Indian restaurants, and many more. Restaurants may be found at all terminals, however, when you arrive, proceed to the Jewel terminal for easy directions to the rainfall attraction. A shopping mall and many other attractions can be found here, including the famed Vortex Rainfall, which is surrounded by rainforest.

The eateries, like the hawker centre, have reasonable prices. However, eating at a restaurant in the city itself is pricey. As a result, always use Hawker Centres because they will save you a lot of money on food in Singapore.

Canopy Park

This was a walking path that cost us £4 apiece to enter, a stroll through with many side diversions such as a maze and dinosaur trail. However, this site was more for children than anything else, as there were statues of animals throughout the park that could be photographed. The only positive aspect was the view of the vortex.

Sunflower Garden

Sunflower Garden has a collection of sunflowers outside. As you step outside, you will see several sunflowers on one side and a little garden area with solar panels or a small photo area.

Waterfall Boarding Gate at Changi Airport

As you exit the departure gate, you will see this stunning waterfall; as you walk through, scan your passport to say farewell. The sound effects, in addition to the pictures, allow you to hear the sea waves.

Dreamscape at Changi Airport

This little area was fantastic, particularly for photography. We noticed this as we approached our Malaysia departure gate. The ceiling adapts to diverse weather, such as rain, sunny spells, fish, and much more. With greenery on both sides, it's the ideal immersive photo opportunity.

Conclusion

There was so much more I missed, but there is so much you can accomplish in a short period. Especially after a 17-hour flight. I simply did not have the energy to explore much as I was exhausted already. However, there is always next time, right?!

Overall, this is the best airport I've ever been to, but I haven't yet visited Qatar Airport, which has been said to be just as outstanding and is on my bucket list for the future. However, when it comes to Singapore's airport, I enjoyed the mood and cleanliness. There was so much to do that there was plenty of time in the day to explore, as walking from one terminal to the next became tiresome.

If you're planning a trip to Singapore soon, expect the cost of accommodation to be expensive, possibly over £100 or more per night, as the cost is high everywhere. However, the food, particularly in hawker centres, is inexpensive, so you can save money on food. Unless you prefer to dine at restaurants which tends to be high. Finally, just take in the atmosphere and appreciate the vibe, I guarantee you will want to return if this is your first visit.
