Brunch Experience
Travelling to Zin, was quite a journey as it took me an hour to reach. However, it was worthwhile as the hospitality and food were fantastic. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner who showed me around the place after taking my order. Once I was comfortable I took pictures and videos of the location, which was pretty Instagram-worthy. Here I spent around just over an hour as the portion was quite big, so it took me a while to finish my meal on my own. As I arrived early on before the lunchtime rush, there was no rush in terms of tables. It's a family-run business, which is always nice to see.
What I ordered was
- Full Moroccan £11.95
- Kofta Tagine £11.95
- Buttermilk Pancake Tacos £9.50
- Moroccan Tea £5.50
Full Moroccan
Out of the three full breakfast options, I chose the full Moroccan one, which was rather tasty. Tasted amazing and was quite visually pleasing. It was a plate filled with Eggs, Turkey Bacon, M’semen, Merguez, Loubya, Hash Brown, Mushroom, Spinach, Grilled Tomato, Moroccan Soft Cheese, and Honey. The portion served, fills one person up.
Kofta Tagine
You can't go to a Moroccan restaurant and not try their traditional food. That's why I chose to have Kofta Tagine rather than the usual Avocado Toast that most people have for breakfast. Served with authentic Moroccan bread for dipping into the tender lamb meatballs. This looked tasty, and after eating the Full Moroccan, I barely had room to test it because I was so full.
Slow-cooked Lamb Meatballs baked with Tomatoes, Peppers, and Eggs.
Buttermilk Pancake Tacos
Taco Pancakes were delicious, I paused diving into these delicious pancakes. The sweet honey pour went perfectly with the pancake mix of Berries, Banana, Crème Anglaise, and Nutella. As you can see from the image, things were presented in a novel way, which drew my attention to order this item. I highly recommend this item to anyone undecided about what to order.
Moroccan Tea
Served in a traditional unique Moroccan style, it was refreshing to have to start my meal. The staff gives you the theatrical experience with the long pour into the glass as you would experience in Morocco.
Conclusion

Overall: I’ve given Zin Restaurant a 9 out of 10.
Zin Restaurant's Moroccan Brunch in Kensal Rise offers a unique experience, allowing brunch enthusiasts to indulge in the rich tapestry of Moroccan cuisine. Whether you are a seasoned fan of Moroccan flavors or a newcomer to the culinary wonders of North Africa. Zin's Moroccan Brunch promises a memorable and satisfying experience for the taste buds. The food and service I thought were good, even when it got busy they made time and ensured I was okay etc. Price wise is the standard London price, which is on the high but you do get full up from the portion provided. I truly loved the presentation everything looked appealing, and therefore it attracted me to visit.
They have a rooftop lounge at the back of the restaurant for those who wish to smoke Shisha. Great for summertime, when they can enjoy the sun by opening up the rooftop.
